1. The Zero-BS Philosophy
We build tools for athletes, not data brokers. Our purpose is to deliver high-utility training tools and personalised race plans to help you reach your goals. We use only the data you explicitly share with us. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Period. The data controller for WattX is the platform operator, reachable at [email protected].
2. What We Collect and Why
We do not collect health surveillance data, biometric identifiers, or medical records. Training metrics you explicitly enter — such as threshold power, swim pace, run pace, or body weight — are stored to power your personalised tools. They are not sold or used for advertising. We also store your race history, training plan data, equipment details, injury logs, and test results, all of which you enter voluntarily. This data exists only to make your WattX experience more connected and accurate across your devices.
3. Cookies and Analytics
WattX does not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics services. We do not embed advertising pixels or share browsing behaviour with any external platform. When you sign in, authentication tokens are stored in your browser so you stay logged in; sign-in requests are processed by Supabase (EU), our database provider. We do not use your account data for marketing or profiling.
4. Device Cache & Cloud Sync
WattX keeps a copy of your data on your device so tools load quickly and work offline where possible. When you are signed in, we sync your athlete profile, training plan, race vault, injury log, equipment rack, and test history to your cloud account so phone, tablet, and laptop stay aligned. That training data is stored in Supabase (EU) under GDPR and Swiss FADP standards. Transactional email (for example plan summaries or contact replies) is sent via Infomaniak (Switzerland). We do not sell your data to either provider or anyone else.
5. Connected Apps & Hardware Integrations
To provide a seamless training experience, WattX allows you to connect your account to third-party training platforms and device manufacturers. When you initiate these connections, we use secure, industry-standard authorization (OAuth). We only request the minimum permissions necessary to push your structured workouts or read required metrics. We do not store your external passwords, and you can revoke WattX's access from your connected devices at any time. Once your data is pushed to an external device or platform, its handling is governed by the privacy policy of that respective company.
6. Your Rights — The "Nuke It" Clause
You own your data. You can remove the local copy at any time by clearing your browser data. Clearing local storage does not delete your cloud account — contact us if you want your cloud profile and synced vault data permanently removed from our servers.
